No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state on Monday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority said:
*226 people are still under monitoring.
*291 have completed monitoring or were determined to have no risk.
*Samples for 52 patients await results.
*Samples for 165 patients have tested negative for COVID-19.
*Samples for 14 patients have tested positive. One of the presumptive positive tests has been confirmed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Of the 14, one is a resident of Douglas County. At last report, Douglas County Public Health Officer, Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the person is medically stable.
The CDC has reported that older adults may be at a higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19. Family members and friends can support older adults by:
*Knowing what medications loved ones are taking and help them to get extra to have on hand.
*Monitor food and other medical supplies that are needed and create a back-up plan.
*Stock up on non-perishable foods to minimize trips to stores.
*Those who have a cough or are sick, should wear a mask around older adults or stay at a distance.
*Those caring for loved ones living in a care facility should monitor the situation and ask about the health of other residents frequently and know the protocol if there is a virus outbreak.
