There are no new cases of COVID-19 in Oregon as of Friday.
Information released Friday night by the Oregon Health Authority said 190 people are under monitoring. 247 people have either completed monitoring or were determined to have no risk. Samples for 28 patients await results while samples for 64 patients have tested negative for COVID-19.
The OHA has released more information about the 3 Oregonians who have tested positive for COVID-19. The first case, which has been confirmed positive by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is a man between 40 and 50 years of age. He remains hospitalized and his status is not being released currently. He works at Forest Hills Elementary School in Lake Oswego and lives in Washington County. The second case, a presumptive positive, is a woman between ages 40 and 50 and is not hospitalized. She is recovering from her illness. OHA previously said she was a “household contact” of the first patient though some reports have said that she is a family member. The third case, also a presumptive positive, is a man between ages 60 and 70. His status is not being made available. He attended a youth basketball game in Weston, a town in northeast Oregon, on March 2nd. The patient is from Umatilla County. He works at the Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton.
The OHA said the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory continues to test for COVID-19. In addition, private labs in the state have begun testing as well.
