The Celebration of Literacy concludes with the Battle of the Books on Saturday.
Students from around Douglas County will gather at Brockway Elementary School in Winston for the 19th annual event. Those participating are in different age groups and the teams are given questions to answer from a long list of books they have been reading over the past several months.
Winners in each age group will advance to statewide competition.
The event starts at 10:00 a.m. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m.
