DRIVER HAS MINOR INJURIES AFTER VEHICLE FLIPS

A driver had minor injuries after his vehicle flipped on Wednesday afternoon.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s office said just before 4:30 p.m. the 24-year old Winston man was traveling on Dole Road near Myrtle Creek at a high rate of speed. The report said his SUV started to drift over the center line and the driver over corrected, lost control, and collided with a large rock causing the vehicle to overturn.
The man sustained scrapes on his arm. He was cited for careless driving. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
