Students around Douglas County will have the opportunity to show off their culinary skills this month during Future Chefs competitions in three school districts.
Information from Sodexo School Services said the event aims to educate students about healthy eating habits. Sodexo is providing the food for the competitions. Students’ creations will be judged based on taste, originality, ease of preparation, “kid appeal”, healthy attributes, use of feature ingredients and the presentation of their sample plate.
The winner of the competition will receive prizes and have his or her recipe automatically entered into a national competition, where they could win even more.
