An elderly man was listed in critical condition on Monday, after a single vehicle crash that took place Thursday afternoon in Winston.
Just after 3:30 p.m. the vehicle driven by 71-year old Anton Lipowski crashed into two electrical boxes at the corner of Oregon 42 and Main Street. The Winston Police report said the man was having a medical emergency, which led to the accident. The wreck caused the traffic lights to quit working. Crews from the Oregon Department of Transportation with help from Pacific Power staff spent five-hours repairing the damage. Flaggers controlled traffic going through the intersection while that was taking place.
Lipowski was initially listed as being in serious condition last Friday at Mercy Medical Center, according to a hospital spokesperson.
