A woman who was rescued Thursday night was sent to jail after she was found.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 8:30 p.m. dispatchers received a call from a woman who said she was stuck with two flat tires near Hemlock Lake. That’s about 30 miles southeast of Glide, off Little River Road. Before dispatchers could obtain further information, the call was lost.
Deputies, along with Search and Rescue crews, were sent to the area. Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife troopers were also in the area and responded, along with an OSP Fish and Wildlife airplane. While searching the Hemlock Lake area, those in the airplane spotted a dim light on the ground and relayed that information to SAR units.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., SAR and OSP troopers made contact with the missing subject, identified as 23-year old Heather Schillinger. She had a male companion with her.
O’Dell said Schillinger had an active warrant out for her arrest, and was taken into custody. She was released on Friday. The man was given a courtesy ride back to Roseburg.
