MAN ACCUSED ON BAD CHECK CHARGES

A Roseburg area man is in the Douglas County Jail on bad check charges.
Information from the Roseburg Police said on Monday, 28-year old Mitchell Richmond allegedly attempted to cash a check in the amount of $900 at Umpqua Bank in downtown Roseburg. He was held for second degree counts of forgery and theft and for negotiating a bad check.
Richmond had previously been detained by Myrtle Creek Police on stolen vehicle, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and parole violation charges. He is being held without bail.
