In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
The production of “Proof” opens Friday at Centerstage Theatre at Umpqua Community College.
Director of Theatre Arts Christina Allaback said the play will be performed this Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. It will also be on stage next Friday and Saturday night as well.
Allaback said the play, written by David Auburn, concerns Catherine, the daughter of Robert, a recently deceased mathematical genius in his fifties and professor at the University of Chicago, and her struggle with mathematical genius and mental illness.
Admission is $10 at the door with UCC students admitted for free.
