GUIDED PADDLE TRIPS AT SOUTH SLOUGH

February 19, 2020 3:45 a.m.
Beginning March 28th, the South Slough Reserve in Charleston will be hosting monthly guided paddle trips.
Each five-mile trip goes through the salty, brackish, and fresh parts of the estuary where participants will view a variety of natural wonders including waterfowl, harbor seals and nursery fish. Most trips will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m. The Reserve provides experienced guides and shuttle transportation.
Kayaks are available to rent for an additional fee. Otherwise residents can bring their own paddle crafts or personal floatation device, along with water and lunch. The cost for participating is $15 per boat or $45 with kayak gear and rental.
