IMPROVEMENTS BEING MADE AT HARVARD AND STEWART PARKWAY

February 13, 2020 10:50 a.m.
Improvements are being made at the intersection of West Harvard Avenue and Stewart Parkway in Roseburg.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson with the City of Roseburg told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the developer for Evergreen Medical Center is installing new ADA ramps, new sidewalks, new pedestrian push buttons and a “valley gutter” which will smooth out the entrance and exit.
Johnson said work is being done by Chambers Construction. The project is set to be completed by either the end of February or the beginning of March. Johnson said Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church is losing access from Harvard while the work is being done. Drivers headed to Saint Joseph’s should use West Stanton or West Francis Streets as alternate routes.
Work hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m.
