A Roseburg man was jailed after allegedly acting aggressively with a sword on Saturday.
A Roseburg Police report said at 2:00 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Athena, after the 41-year old suspect reportedly chased a neighbor with the sword. The report said this was the fourth time someone had called in that day regarding the man’s behavior. A victim old police he believed the man would have stabbed him with the sword if he had caught them.
Daniel Calvert was detained on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, for menacing and for a probation violation. He was held without bail.
