MAN JAILED FOR ASSAULTING A POLICE OFFICER

A Roseburg man was jailed for allegedly assaulting a public safety officer and other charges on Friday.
Information from Roseburg Police said at about 11:45 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance at a business in the 200 block of Southeast Jackson. The suspect had allegedly shoved a bartender.
28-year old Robert Flores reportedly fought with officers and bit one on the arm. He then kicked and damaged the inside of a patrol vehicle according to the report. Flores was also charged with first degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, harassment, second degree disorderly conduct and for fourth degree assault. He was initially held on $117,500 bail.
