LIGHT DUSTING OF SNOW HITS PARTS OF REGION

February 3, 2020 10:20 a.m.
A light dusting of snow hit parts of the Umpqua Valley early Monday but little accumulations were reported.
A forecaster at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 1240 KQEN that they did receive lots of calls while the snow was falling. Listeners to KQEN also reported snow in nearly a dozen communities in Douglas County.
Next residents will have to contend with the possibility of freezing fog. It is forecast for early Tuesday morning in the Umpqua Valley with lows getting down to 30 degrees in Roseburg, and the mid to upper 20s in outlying areas.
Conditions are slated to moderate later in the week with highs in the upper 50s starting on Thursday. Rain is expected by late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
