COUNTY FARM BUREAU SEEKS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS

January 29, 2020 3:35 a.m.
The Douglas County Farm Bureau will offer up to five $1,000 scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year for students that are pursuing a course of study in agriculture or forestry.
The release said children or grandchildren of a voting member of the local organization can apply as well, and in that case, any major will be considered.
Applicants must be Douglas County high school graduates, either graduating this year or already enrolled in a higher education institution. Local homeschool students can apply as well.
The selection will be based on merit, financial need, initiative, and demonstration of interest in forestry or agriculture. Past recipients are eligible to apply.
The application deadline is March 15th. For more information and to get an application, contact Troy or Holly Michaels at 541-825-3760.
