Oregon 62 near Prospect re-opened to single lane traffic Tuesday afternoon after boulders fell onto the highway earlier in the day.
Gary Leaming of the Oregon Department of Transportation said flaggers and pilot cars are helping motorists get through the area.
Starting Wednesday morning during daylight hours, ODOT crews will remove additional rocks and debris from the slope. Leaming said drivers should expect longer delays to remove trees and rocks from the hillside. That work should take about a week.
A vehicle was damaged by one of the large boulders that fell off the hillside Tuesday morning at about 4:00 a.m. An occupant of the vehicle was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to Oregon State Police.
