A Roseburg man was jailed Sunday, accused of interfering with a police officer.
A report from Roseburg Police said just after 10:00 a.m., against the advice of others, 40-year old Aaron Harding returned to the J&J Market on Southeast Stephens, after being told earlier in the morning that he would be arrested if he came back.
This time the suspect would not comply with officers. The report said police had to fight with the man as he tried to kick and punch them. During the struggle, the man received a small cut below his eye. He was treated at Mercy Medical Center and then was taken to jail.
He was also charged with resisting arrest and for second degree criminal trespass. After arraignment, he was detained on $13,750 bail.
