Aviva Health is offering free Living Well with Chronic Pain Self-Management Workshops every Friday for the next six weeks, starting this Friday.
Information from Aviva said with opioid addiction reaching crisis levels, learning natural ways to cope with and manage chronic pain has never been more important. The workshop will focus on teaching new skills to deal with pain, and learning effective ways to manage stress, frustration, isolation and poor sleep, plus improve strength, flexibility, and endurance.
The release said many medical experts endorse nonpharmacologic interventions as a first-line treatment for chronic pain management, but those living in underserved communities often lack access to those options.
The workshops will be held Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Aviva’s main Roseburg clinic location on Kenneth Ford Drive, just north of Costco. Call 672-9596 extension 430 for more information.
