The City of Roseburg Public Works Department is making safety improvements at the intersection of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Edenbower Boulevard on Wednesday night.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson said work at the intersection will be controlled by flaggers while improvements are being made. Johnson said the project should conclude by 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning. Drivers going through the area during this time should plan accordingly and expect delays in getting through the intersection.
Johnson said the improvement involves installing new traffic signal heads at the intersection, which will increase visibility for drivers and improve overall safety.
Kunert Electric will be installing the new signal heads. Funding for the project comes for an All Roads Transportation Safety grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation.
