MORE STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED IN MYRTLE CREEK

Myrtle Creek Police have recovered more stolen property and are asking residents to make a report anytime they have something stolen.
Detective Kevin Taggart said the additional property was recovered after a vehicle pursuit on Tuesday night. Taggart suspects all the property may have come from the same residence, but that has not been confirmed. He also suspects the items may have been stolen very recently.
Taggart said if a resident is missing a very nice digital camera and accessories, along with a newer crossbow, they should call the Myrtle Creek PD to identify the items. Taggart said it is suspected that a drone may have been stolen as well. That item was not recovered.
Taggart said since a recent press release came out regarding unidentified stolen property, the department has been getting a rash of reports regarding past burglaries and thefts that were never reported. Taggart said anytime citizens have property stolen, local police need to know about it. He said if it is not reported, officers cannot accurately track when and where the burglaries and thefts are happening.
Taggart said people that have any item of value that has a serial number, should take photos of it and document the serial number. That includes, but is not limited to, bicycles, firearms, computers and tools.
Residents can call the Myrtle Creek PD at 863-5222 if they have items that have been stolen.
