The Zonta Club of Roseburg has its Double Donation Drive underway.
A release from Zonta is asking residents to clean out their closet and “double donate” their excess clothes to the organization. Laura Jackson from Zonta said clothes given to the club will raise money and provide much needed clothing for Sunrise Enterprises. She said Sunrise will make a donation to Zonta for the clean clothes. In turn, Sunrise will benefit by having a larger selection of clothing for their retail services and continuing their goal of providing jobs for those with disabilities.
Donors can also claim the value of their donation for income tax purposes. Zonta Treasurer Gail Trimble called it “A win-win situation for everybody”.
Cardinal Services at 2375 Northwest Stewart Parkway is open to receive the donations from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Zonta’s Double Donation drive will continue through February 14th. Only clothes will be accepted, no shoes, purses or household goods will be accepted.
