THREE CITED IN TWO PROHIBITED CAMPING INCIDENTS

Three people were cited for prohibited camping in two incidents on Tuesday morning.
A report from the Roseburg Police said at 8:00 a.m. officers contacted two people, ages 38 and 46, sleeping in the doorway of the former Rite Aid building on Southeast Jackson downtown. Both were in sleeping bags when they were contacted, and were directly under “no trespassing” signs. They had previously been warned of camping as well.
At 8:30 a.m. a 34-year old man was contacted while in a sleeping bag on the porch of a residence in the 700 block of Southeast Mosher. The report said the man had been warned about trespassing at this same location as well. He was also cited with second degree criminal trespass.
All three people were released after being cited.
