The City of Roseburg has an opening on the City Council and is seeking residents to fill multiple positions on its Budget Committee.
Communications Specialist Eric Johnson said the council has accepted the recent resignation of Tom Ryan and is seeking someone to finish his Ward Two, Position Two term. Johnson said residents of that Ward have until 5:00 p.m. on January 31st to submit their completed applications. Those interested can visit the City Administration Office on the third floor of City Hall to fill out a form. The application can also be downloaded from www.cityofroseburg.org.
Johnson said the City is also looking for people to join the Budget Committee. The group oversees and reviews the proposed annual operating budget and any supplemental City budgets. Starting in the spring, the commission works collaboratively with the staff to construct budget recommendations that go to the city council. Johnson said those positions are open until filled and interested residents should contact the city for more information.
