WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY, STORM WARNING CONTINUES

A Winter Weather Advisory for central Douglas County and a Winter Storm Warning for Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and all of the south-central Oregon Cascades continues.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the Advisory is in place until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, above 1,500 feet. Total snow accumulations of one to three inches are expected. The Advisory area includes Tiller and the Interstate Five passes south of Canyonville. Forecasters said the snow level could drop to 1000 feet or lower at times during heavier precipitation possibly impacting Rice Hill, Marvin Hill and Camas Mountain.
The Warning continues until 10:00 p.m. Tuesday in mountain areas with an additional eight to twelve inches of snow forecast. Winds could gust to 55 miles per hour over exposed areas. Forecasters said that travel will be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could reduce visibility. Gusty winds could bring down trees and power outages are possible. Forecasters said travel is strongly discouraged.
