A Myrtle Creek pair were jailed following reports of burglary incidents on Saturday.
Detective Kevin Taggart of the Myrtle Creek Police said an officer had taken burglary case reports regarding two residences on Northeast Craig Street. Taggart said a call came out a short time later and the officer was advised that a man and a woman were allegedly seen sneaking around a house in the 800 block of Morrison Avenue at about 4:00 p.m.
Taggart said when officers arrived, 33-year old Daniel Logan allegedly started to run. He was taken into custody after a foot pursuit. A 38-year old woman was located later by a deputy from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
During an investigation the officer was contacted by the other two victims and were able to identify Logan as the suspect in those cases. He was charged with first and second degree counts of burglary, attempting to elude on foot, two counts of criminal mischief, and one count of criminal trespass. He was initially detained on $112,500 bail and was released on Monday.
The woman was charged with first degree criminal trespass.
