CAMAS VALLEY, TENMILE LOSE POWER FOR OVER FOUR HOURS

January 11, 2020 6:50 a.m.
Residents of the Camas Valley and Tenmile areas lost power for over four hours late Friday night.
Todd Munsey of Douglas Electric Cooperative said just after 9:00 p.m. the utility lost its transmission feed to the substations which serve both communities. That caused approximately 1,450 members to be without power.
Munsey said at around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, crews were able to discover a dead tree that had fallen from outside the right of way and onto the power lines. They were able to remove it and repair the service. Power was restored at about 1:30 a.m.
Munsey said anyone who is without power should call 1-888-420-8826 to report their outage.
