The Douglas Education Service District and the Roseburg Public Library will combine community resources to host a five-part series on mental health starting next month.
Library Director Kris Wiley said each session will provide outreach resources and information. The series will continue through June and will be held on the second Thursday of each month starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Deer Creek Room at the library.
The series will begin with:
*February 13th Barb Hofford, a registered nurse for Douglas ESD will offer, “Ending the Silence”, a National Alliance on Mental Illness presentation on how to recognize signs of mental health concerns and suicide in loved ones and what can be done to help.
Upcoming presentations will be done by staff with ESD, Adapt, and other organizations.
