The 2020 Citizen’s Law Enforcement Academy is accepting applications.
It will take place in 14 sessions starting in April and concluding in June.
Information from the Roseburg Police said the course is designed to provide citizens with an inside look at the world of law enforcement. Classes are normally held on Thursday nights though some happen on Saturdays and one event takes place on a Sunday.
Classes are taught by officers from RPD and by deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The course is free but those applying are asked to commit to attending most of the classes, due to the high demand and limited space the course has.
To get an application, contact the Roseburg Police Department.
