Two people were jailed after they were found trespassing at Saint Joseph’s Church on West Stanton Street on Monday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at 11:00 a.m. 34-year old Allan Hay-Chapman and a 21-year old woman, also from Roseburg, were contacted by officers. Hay-Chapman allegedly refused to take his hands out of his pockets. When officers removed his hands from his pockets during the arrest, he was reportedly holding a switchblade knife.
Hay-Chapman was charged with being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and for second degree criminal trespass. The woman was held for the same trespass charge and also for a warrant that was out for her arrest.
