A Roseburg man was detained on a charge of first-degree criminal trespass on Saturday.
Information from Roseburg Police said shortly before 12:00 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Northeast Cedar Street regarding a physical altercation between the homeowner and a 24-year old man. The report said the homeowner attempted to get the other man to leave the property for over three hours, but the suspect refused. He allegedly became violent and then punched the homeowner, who then restrained him on the floor.
An officer gave the man multiple opportunities to leave the residence but he still would not cooperate, according to the report.
The suspect was released from custody on Sunday.
