WHALE WATCH WEEK CONCLUDES TUESDAY

Whale Watch Week concludes on the Oregon Coast on Tuesday.
Thousands of Gray whales are migrating south through Oregon’s waters and the Oregon Parks and Recreation is inviting visitors to the coast to take a look.
Trained volunteers from the Whale Watching Spoken Here program, are stationed from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at more than 20 of the best whale-watching sites on the coast, ready to help visitors and answer questions about the animals. Right now. approximately 30 whales pass by the sites per hour.

The Whale Watching Center in Depoe Bay is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy interactive whale exhibits and take in the panoramic ocean views. Binoculars are provided. Park rangers are also on hand to answer questions about the whales.
