DREAM CENTER WARMING CENTER OPEN FOR CHRISTMAS EVE

December 23, 2019 10:30 a.m.
The Roseburg Dream Center Warming Center will be open for Christmas Eve on Tuesday.
It is located at Foundation Fellowship on Southeast Lane in downtown Roseburg.
Organizer Christopher Hutton said due to space limitations, dinner will be limited to those people spending the night at the facility. Dinner will start at 7:00 p.m. with the doors closing at 10:45 p.m.
Hutton is asking for community help in providing food for the special dinner. He said if people can make one extra dish while they prepare their own meal, it will help feed those in need. Food can be brought in until 1:45 p.m. Monday or on Tuesday starting at 5:00 p.m.
Hutton is also seeking gift items which can be handed out on Christmas morning. Those could include sub-freezing sleeping bags, tents, brown tarps, gloves, socks, hand warmers, and rechargeable cell phone battery packs. The Dream Center also needs donations of clothing including men’s pants, and sweat tops and bottoms, so people can change out of their wet clothes when they come in for the night.
He said blessing bags are also a helpful gift. Those can include things like gallon size Ziplock bags, chap stick, packages of tissues, toilet paper, deodorant sticks, combs, soap, hotel size shampoos, band aids, and snacks.
