With 6 fewer days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, the Salvation Amy in Roseburg needs help to reach its fundraising goal.
Captain Brent Church said so far. the red kettles at stores in the Roseburg area have raised just under $30,800. Church said that means over $29,200 is needed to meet the goal of $60,000. Church said the kettles are located across the community making it easy for people to help those in need during this giving season.
Church said donations support Christmas family assistance, year-round assistance for low income families and individuals, along with food pantries, youth programs, summer camps, counseling and much more.
Church said with a smaller number of days between Thanksgiving and Christmas, “it makes it more challenging to raise the funds we need to help our neighbors”.
