A medical issue apparently led to a vehicle ending up in a ditch on Thursday afternoon.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 12:15 p.m. a deputy responded to the report of the vehicle, which was still spinning its tires near the intersection of Territorial Highway and Curtin Road in Curtin. The report said the deputy talked with the 33-year old male driver, who denied consuming alcohol, marijuana or any other controlled substance.
The driver was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield for treatment.
