MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGEDLY TAKING BASKET OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

A Camas Valley man was jailed after allegedly taking a basket of alcoholic beverages on Wednesday afternoon.
Information from Roseburg Police said a customer reported that the 35-year old had walked out of Rite-Aid on Southeast Stephens without paying. Officers found the suspect in Riverside Park with two shopping baskets, multiple alcoholic beverages and no sales receipt.
He was charged with third degree theft, drinking in public and for a probation violation and was held without bail.
