Douglas County government has announced its closure schedule for Christmas.
A release from the Board of Commissioners said all offices and locations for County government will be closed starting at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 24th. Offices will remain closed for Christmas Day and will reopen for normal business hours on Thursday December 26th.
The Solid Waste Department said transfer stations in Elkton and Tiller that are normally open on Wednesday, will open on Thursday instead.
The release said even when County government offices are closed, public safety employees and necessary 24-hour operations staff are still working.
