A Sutherlin man was jailed on Wednesday night, related to a firearms incident.
Captain Kurt Sorenson of the Sutherlin Police said earlier in the day, 23-year old Garret Hoppe and his roommate were arguing, when Hoppe grabbed a shotgun and menaced the 30-year old victim. After interviews Hoppe was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a weapon, for pointing a firearm at another and for menacing. He was initially detained on $65,000 bail.
