COUNCIL SET TO FINISH GOAL SETTING MONDAY

The Roseburg City Council is having its third goal setting meeting Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. with the intent to complete the process and vote on adopting goals and action items for 2020-2022.
November 12th, councilors approved six goals but asked staff to propose amended language for the sixth goal. December 3rd the council approved the language of the final goal. They also approved action items for the first four goals.
The six goals are:
*Develop and implement policies to enhance housing opportunities
*Implement transportation funding policies to meet identified community needs
*Enhance community livability and public safety
*Take a proactive role in economic development and community revitalization
*Update and implement the City’s Emergency Preparedness Plan
At Monday’s meeting the council will consider the action items for the final two goals.
The council will meet in the South Umpqua Conference Room of the Roseburg Public Library. The meeting is expected to last up to two hours.
