The Christmas Tree at the Douglas County Courthouse will remain lit until just after the start of the new year.
Information from County staff said the tree lights can be seen daily from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. through December 23rd. From December 24th at 5:00 a.m. to December 26th at 8:00 a.m. the tree will be lit around the clock, so Santa can find his way to the community. Starting December 26th, the tree lights will be on from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. until crews start to take the tree down on or around January 2nd.
