A Roseburg woman was jailed for mail theft on Sunday.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said over the weekend deputies took several reports of mail theft from residential mailboxes, including the loss of packages.
Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. while investigating, a deputy received a report that a woman was looking through mailboxes in the area of Doerner Road, near Buffalo Lane. O’Dell said the deputy contacted 21-year old Kayla Alamprese and found her to be in possession of stolen mail and other items.
Alamprese was arrested on 13 counts of mail theft according to O’Dell. She was released from custody on Monday.
