BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICES SCHEDULED

The Roseburg VA Health Care System chaplains are partnering with local churches to host a Blue Christmas service in Roseburg on December 22nd.
The services are held for those who struggle with emotional or spiritual pain and loneliness during the winter holiday season, according to the chaplain’s office. The Christian worship services are open to the public. Members of any faith are welcome to attend as are those who have no religious affiliation.
Chaplains and counselors will be present to support and encourage those who want to talk after the service. It will be held December 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the VA Chapel in Building 16 on the VA campus.
A similar service will be held December 21st at 5:30 p.m. at the Eugene Church of Christ for those living in that area.
The VA release said there will be no attempt to make converts or criticize anyone’s spiritual beliefs as part of the Blue Christmas service.
