The Oregon Department of Transportation’s Roberts Mountain project south of Roseburg continues.
Information from ODOT said the nearly $33 million project includes the paving of five miles of Interstate Five and building of climbing lanes on the northbound and southbound approach to Roberts Mountain. The speed limit has been reduced to 55 miles per hour in the southbound lane on Roberts Mountain. The southbound shoulder is closed in this area. Trucks should use the right lane in both the northbound and southbound directions.
Throughout the work zone, drivers should watch for intermittent lane and shoulder closures, and for construction vehicles entering and exiting the travel lanes.
Construction will continue until the summer of 2021.
