A presentation about the University of Oregon Veterans Oral History Project is coming to the Roseburg Public Library on Thursday December 19th.
The speaker will be Dr. Alex Dracobly. He has been teaching at the University of Oregon since 1995 in the fields of modern Europe and military history. Dr. Dracobly founded the UO Veterans Oral History Project in 2009 and directed it until 2018. The project interviewed more than 150 veterans whose stories are either currently available or will soon be available through Special Collections at the Knight Library at the U of O.
Dr. Dracobly currently teaches on topics ranging from the current war in Iraq to U.S. and world military history.
His talk at the Roseburg Public Library will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the Deer Creek Room.
