LAND BOARD TO HEAR ELLIOT STATE FOREST UPDATE

December 5, 2019 3:30 a.m.
The State Land Board will hear an update on the ongoing exploration of a potential Elliot State Forest Research Forest during its meeting next Tuesday in Salem.
A release from the Oregon Department of State Lands said the Board in December of 2018 directed the DSL to work collaboratively with Oregon State University to develop a plan for transforming the Elliot into a research forest. At the December 10th meeting, DSL and OSU will provide updates on the research forest exploratory process and ask the Land Board to provide guidance on the next steps.
The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the DSL office. More information about the meeting is posted: https://www.oregon.gov/dsl/Board/Pages/SLBmeetings.aspx.
