THANKSGIVING POWER OUTAGE FOR OAKLAND AND TYEE AREAS

November 29, 2019 3:50 a.m.
Some residents of the Oakland and Tyee areas spent about 80 minutes without power on Thanksgiving.
Todd Munsey of Douglas Electric Cooperative said the utility experienced an outage in the northeast portion of its service area at about 11:40 a.m. Munsey said approximately 670 members were without power initially but the outage grew to around 1,300 members. A tree limb on power lines was the cause of the outage. Power was restored to all members shortly before 1:00 p.m.
