CELEBRATE WILDLIFE SAFARI DURING GIVING THURSDAY

November 25, 2019 3:45 a.m.
Wildlife Safari is asking for help during Giving Tuesday, which is set for Tuesday December 3rd.
Marketing Director Jacob Schlueter said the national event is a great way for people to share in a non-profit organization that people are passionate about. Schlueter said Safari’s #MoreThanWildlife campaign hopes to showcase some of the community engagement activities that the park has each year.
Executive Director Dan Van Slyke said that probably the most significant thing they do is an event called Dreamnight, held in August. He said it brings kids from all over the region who are dealing with terminal and chronic illnesses. Van Slyke said the event gives the kids and their families some stress-free-fun.
The Wildlife Safari release said it offers educational programming for people of all ages, year-round. Other special events include the Day of Discovery, which is for handicapped people. There is also Wildlights and Zoobilee, which is for the whole family.
On Tuesday December 3rd, people can help the #MoreThanWildlife campaign by making a donation to the park via www.wildlifesafari.net.  Contact the game park for more information.
