MAN JAILED FOR CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

A Roseburg man was jailed for second degree criminal mischief on Tuesday morning.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 2:20 a.m. the 39-year old got into a verbal argument with a taxi driver in the 900 block of Southeast Stephens. The man allegedly wanted to fight the other individual. The report said the driver told the suspect to walk away, but the man then proceeded to rip the right front license plate off of the vehicle.
The suspect was initially detained on $6,250 bail.
