WOMAN JAILED FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING BEER TWICE IN ONE DAY

A Glide woman was jailed for allegedly stealing beer twice in one day from convenience stores in Roseburg.
A report from the Roseburg Police said Thursday at about 8:20 a.m. the 29-year old walked out of the Oak Market on Oak Avenue and opened a beer that she had not paid for. An officer located her nearby and cited her.
At about 3:00 p.m. the woman was found walking down Highway 99 after she had allegedly taken a beer from the Southgate Market. The store’s owner had recovered that beverage.
The woman was charged with two counts of third-degree theft and initially detained on $2,500 bail.
