Property taxes are due on Friday in Douglas County.
Information from the County Tax Collection Office said to receive a 3 percent discount, payment in full must be received or postmarked by Friday. To avoid interest and penalties, the first trimester payment must be paid by Friday. The second trimester payment is due February 18, 2020 and the third trimester payment is due by May 15^th, 2020.
Payments can be made in person at the Tax Collection Office in room 205 of the courthouse. It is open until 5:00 p.m. There is also a drop box located in front of the courthouse which will be available until midnight Friday.
Payments can also be made on-line at www.co.douglas.or.us using a credit or debit card or an eCheck. There is a transaction fee for paying this way.
