Wildlife Safari will have its annual Turkey Trot 5k Fun Run on Thanksgiving morning.
Those participating will walk or run through Wildlife Safari’s grounds, including going through the carnivore loop where cheetahs and Sumatran tigers may run alongside those taking part, while staying safe in their enclosure. Cheetah ambassadors will be at the starting line. The route goes down Safari Road before runners and walkers turned around and head back to the facility.
Advance registration is $20 per person with those age 12 and under being able to participate for free. Go to www.wildlifesafari.net. Registration the day of the event begins at 8:00 a.m. with the Turkey Trot starting at 8:30 a.m.
